Susan Boyle Claims Fans Will Be 'Excited' & 'Intrigued' By New Musical

Scottish superstar singer Susan Boyle, who gained fame through her 2009 appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, has claimed that the up and coming musical ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ ‘has everything’ - and will have fans ‘excited and intrigued’.
The musical will tell the story of Boyle, who swiftly changed from an unknown Scottish church singer to an international superstar, and features Elaine C Smith performing the lead role. So, a couple of weeks prior to the show’s 11-week tour of the UK, Boyle told BBC Breakfast what they can expect from the production.
“The story had an appeal, a magical story, a fairy story,” Boyle said. “It was a dream come true. It can sort of be an example for other people, to inspire them to go on and see for themselves and to do something similar. It has everything. It has drama, razzmatazz. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry. People will be excited and intrigued, a lot of it will be based on curiosity. I hope they like what they see.”
The production has a big hype behind it and even lead Elaine Smith felt a bit of pressure when she met Boyle face to face for the first time.
“I didn't think initially that I would feel pressure, but when Susan came in I felt really nervous. I wouldn't want it to be something Susan hated.”
The tour kicks off in Newcastle on Friday 23rd March, and rounds off in Birmingham on June 2nd.
