Hevy Festival Announces Sunday Night Headliner & More

In a typically solid announcement, Hevy Festival has announced another 19 bands to add to the bill for the annual bash down at Port Lympne Animal Park in Kent. The most attention from this announcement will go towards Sunday night headliners Descendents. The legendary punk rockers will be performing their only UK show of 2012 at the festival so if you want to see them you are advised to head down to Kent for a weekend of, well, heaviness.

Also amongst the names announced today were a smattering of Britain’s finest heavy acts including Rolo Tomassi, Devil Sold His Soul, Blacklisters and &U&I. Joining that lot on the bill will also be touring behemoths Cancer Bats, thrash kings Municipal Waste. There are also UK exclusives in the form of H2O, Shai Hulud, Listener, Rise and Fall and Reign Supreme. Already on the bill from the last announcement were the likes of Converge, Protest the Hero, Will Haven, Verse and Pianos Become the Teeth.

There are more bands to be announced soon. Hevy Festival takes place on the weekend of 4th-6th August, although you can also pop down for the Thursday night as well to get the party started.

Tickets are available for just £96 pounds from www.hevy.co.uk and that ticket also gets you free access to stroll around the animal park for the weekend…in case you want a break from headbanging.
