Blues Star Tristan Mackay Announces Summer Live Shows

Blues singer, songwriter and guitarist Tristan Mackay has announced a string of Summer dates for live shows in May and June.

Blues star Tristan Mackay is a 28-year-old singer songwriter from Leeds. He first picked up a guitar at the age of 14 after hearing the Eric Clapton ‘Unplugged’ album. This started his life long love for blues guitar music and the storytelling songs of Dylan, Young and Springsteen.

Discovered while busking by Grammy Award winning producer Martin Levan, Tristan went on to release his debut album 'Out Along The Wire' in February with help from an outstanding team of musicians including Paul Carrack and John Garden.

'Along The Wire' has received rave reviews from the music press and upon it's release went straight to Number One on the iTunes blues chart. Tristan Mackay will support the album with a string of UK shows this Summer. Tristan Mackay 2012 UK Tour Dates are as follows:

May 23rd - O2 Academy2 Sheffield
May 24th - Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
May 29th - Cox’s Yard Stratford Upon Avon
May 30th - The Duchess, York
June 1st - O2 Academy2 Newcastle
June 6th - O2 Academy Islington London
June 7th - O2 Academy2 Liverpool
