21-year-old singing sensation Delilah has unveiled the video for her new single ‘Breathe’, which is out on May 14th on Atlantic Records.
Produced by Delilah and Hyperdub label’s LV, ‘Breathe’ was written by Delilah at the tender age of 15. She says of the track: “‘Breathe’ is the first song I wrote in the first person. I call it my self-help song.” You can check out the video below.
To coincide with the release, Delilah heads out on her first UK headline tour, which kicked of last night (April 12th) at Glasgow’s o2 ABC 2, with further shows in Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Oxford, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol and Norwich before it concludes at London’s KOKO on April 24th.
Delilah recently released a free downloadable mixtape entitled ‘2 - 4am’ from her official website. The mixtape features eight tracks, including Joe Goddard’s fantastic remix of ‘Love You So’, giving fans an early taste of what can be expected from her forthcoming debut album, ‘From the Roots Up’, which is set to hit shelves this summer.
Delilah recently supported Emeli Sandé at London’s KOKO as part of MTV’s ‘Brand New for 2012’ initiative as well as headlining a packed out show at London’s Garage for HMV’s ‘Next Big Thing’. She is confirmed for a whole host of UK festivals this summer, including Bestival, Wireless, Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend and more.
