The Treatment To Special Guest For Kiss & Motley Crue On US Tour

The Treatment, the Cambridge five-piece who recently completed a full European tour with Steel Panther, have been confirmed to guest with Kiss & Motley Crue on the hottest US rock tour of 2012!

Called simply ‘The Tour’, this run of 40-plus US and Canadian dates features rock legends Kiss & Motley Crue going head-to-head live for the first time since 1982; The Treatment, favourites of Crue bassist Nikki Sixx since their debut ‘Drink, F**k, Fight’ single, were invited to join a run of arena dates – starting July 20th in Virginia – that may soon be extended due to incredible out-of-the-box demand.

“Frankly, our involvement with ‘The Tour’ is something that hasn’t truly sunk in yet,” says Treatment vocalist, Matt Jones. “People may be wondering how a bunch of 19-year-olds from the UK have been offered such a wonderful opportunity, and all we can say is, we have a dedicated team around us and we work hard at what we do.

“And of course big thanks to Kiss and Motley Crue, especially Nikki Sixx, who played us on his US radio show straight away. Their support means a lot to us - those guys are living legends!

“We’re proud to be representing the British rock scene in the US, cos when it comes to rockin’ music, we have a long and proud tradition in the UK. We will do everything possible to fly the flag and play our part.”

The Treatment have a busy few months ahead. They release of five-track covers EP, ‘Then & Again’, in celebration of Record Store Day on April 21st; this release will initially be limited to 300 autographed copies. The track-listing for the EP – a choice selection of ’70s covers – is as follows:

1. 'Motorbikin’' – Chris Spedding
2. 'Let’s Work Together' – Canned Heat
3. 'Evil Woman' – Electric Light Orchestra
4. 'Run Run Run' – Jo Jo Gunne
5. 'Take Me Back ’Ome' – Slade

In addition The Treatment will be performing at various festivals this Summer, including the UK's Download festival on 9th June. You can also catch them at Switzerland's Earshaker Days in Basel on 23rd June and Graspop, Dessel, Belgium on 24th June.

If that wasn't enough, The Treatment have also been confirmed to support rock royalty Thin Lizzy at Leamington Spa's The Assembly on 15th May and at Guildford's G Live on 16th May.

Finally, The Treatment will release new digital single on 4th June, a re-recorded version of ‘Nothing To Lose But Our Minds’, the original of which can be found on the band’s debut ‘This Might Hurt’ album, released through Spinefarm Records in September last year. The B-side of the single will be a newly recorded cover of the Electric Light Orchestra’s ‘Evil Woman’.
