Coldplay To Perform At Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012 & Tickets

Coldplay have been announced as the first act confirmed to perform at this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball in London. Capital FM Summertime Ball Tickets have been on presale since 9am. Coldplay have enjoyed a hugely successful 12 months following the release of their fifth album 'Mylo Xyloto', which included the singles 'Paradise', 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall' and 'Charlie Brown'.
As well as opening this year's BRIT Awards in London, the band are currently on a world tour in support of the album, and are due to play sold-out dates in the UK later this year.
The Capital FM Summertime Ball is always a highlight of the UK's live music event calendar and this year's line-up is set to be one of the best ever. The 2012 Capital FM Summertime Ball takes place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 9th June.
Jennifer Lopez and Nicole Sherzinger both performed at last year's event, while the event has also been graced by appearances from Cheryl Cole, Cee Lo Green, Example, The Wanted and Rihanna. With Coldplay already confirmed to play, the latest rumoured acts to join the BRIT Award winning band at this year's ball include Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, McFly, The Wanted and Steps.
Speaking about the fourth annual Capital FM Summertime Ball, Mike Gordon, managing director of Global Radio, said: “We’re really excited by this year's event and we’re sure Vodafone's customers and our listeners will be too. It’s great to have Vodafone as our partner this year. We’ve developed a great ongoing relationship with them and they know the results we deliver.”
