Britain’s newest male solo star Conor Maynard has kicked up a storm across the UK this week. His debut single ‘Can’t Say No’ smashed straight into the chart at Number Two with huge first-week sales, and is currently sitting pretty at Number Four having sold nearly 120,000 copies already, while his sold-out UK headline tour has seen pandemonium in cities across Britain including Bristol, Birmingham, Brighton, Newcastle and Sheffield.
Last Tuesday he played at London’s Dingwalls and with well-known faces such as Lily Allen and her celebrity mates in the audience prompting a flurry of showbiz stories, the likes of Kylie, Pixie Lott, Taio Cruz and JLS all sending him messages on Twitter and both The Independent and Daily Star running major profiles on him in the past seven days, Conor Maynard has arrived in style. And there’s no slowing down as his ever-growing army of Mayniacs look set to keep him riding high in the charts. In fact, he’s adding thousands of Facebook fans by the day, bringing him to more than 340,000 ‘Mayniacs’ as of today.
Conor also took to Twitter on Monday to announce to nearly 200,000 followers that his debut album will be entitled ‘Contrast’. As a treat for fans who want to pre-order the album on iTunes they are able to download a brand new album track called ‘Drowning’ for free. The track has proved so popular that Conor has just shot a bedroom video of himself singing it, which he has posted on YouTube and is set to send his total YouTube views racing towards the 80 million mark! You can watch it below. To pre-order Conor’s debut album, visit iTunes or click here.
Full details of Conor’s album ‘Contrast’ will be announced in a few weeks time, along with news of his second single.NOTE FROM THE EDITOR We don't run any advertising!
