Against Me!'s Frontman Tom Gabel To Continue Life As A Woman

In the days of Glam-rock and it's make-up clad rockstars, it wasn't uncommon for a Dude to look like a Lady – even Aerosmith thought so. But, today, Against Me!'s frontman Tom Gabel is about to take it to the next level – and will become the band's new frontwoman!
Yes, you read correctly, Gabel, who will now been known as Laura Jane Grace, has apparently been suffering from 'Gender Dysphoria' since she was five years old, and now plans to continue life as a woman – though she will remain married to her wife Heather, and claims to not be attracted to men.
Apparently, she'll soon be sent through a transformation where she'll take female hormones and maybe even 'gender reassignment surgery', which will help her complete his goal of becoming a woman. Interestingly, her band's latest album, which they're currently recording, is written about a transsexual prostitute though it seems a gender change may be too extreme to consider a publicity stunt!
Gabel told Rolling Stone: “Growing up, my experience with transsexualism was nothing but shame. For me, the most terrifying thing about this was how [my wife] would accept the news,.. but she's been super-amazing and understanding.”
'Tom Gabel' has since become a Twitter trend, with messages of support (and criticism) flying around the social network since the announcement was made. What are your thoughts on the move? Let us know in the comments section below.
