Aerosmith Unveil Brand New Single And Album Details - Listen Now

Last night's American Idol finale saw US Rock behemoths Aerosmith hit the stage to debut their brand new single 'Legendary Child'. It's the first tantalising taste of music from the Boston band's much delayed, eagerly anticipated fifteenth studio album. The track is based on an unfinished song they recorded in 1991 during the making of the 'Get A Grip' Album and sounds in a sonically similar vein to that release, with a touch of 'Sweet Emotion' and a cheeky lyrical nod to 'Walk This Way' thrown in for good measure. Steve Tyler and the boys also announced the brand spanking new record has been christened 'Music From Another Dimension' and will be released on August 28th.

'Music From Another Dimension' track-listing:

1. What Could Have Been Love
2. Beautiful
3. Street Jesus
4. Legendary Child
5. Oh Yeah
6. We All Fall Down
7. Another Last Goodbye
8. Out Go the Lights
9. Love Three Times a Day
10. Closer
11. Shakey Ground
12. Love a Lot
13. Freedom Fighter
14. Up on the Mountain

The release finds Aerosmith bouncing back into action after a lengthy hiatus following 2004's blues-based covers album 'Honkin On Bobo', and will mark their first album of all new material since 2002's 'Just Push Play'. Anticipation for the release was heightened when the group announced that Jack Douglas, the man behind their seminal seventies albums 'Toys in the Attic' and 'Rocks', would return to produce the record. Over the past year it has emerged that the band were eager to return to the stripped down, groove based sound of their seventies heyday following 'Just Push Plays' more experimental nuances, with iconic guitar hero Joe Perry revealing the new material “definitely has a feel like some of the early stuff”.

With the Aerosmith machine cranking back into life bassist Tom Hamilton has revealed that whilst the album's not quite done fans can expect more glimpses of new material prior to 'Music From Another Dimensions' release date: “The record’s being mixed and we’re getting ready to put this thing out. Steven is putting his voice on everything and Joe is working on his final leads. We’re going to feed you little chunks of it until September”

'Legendary Child' is avaible from iTunes now and will also be included on the soundtrack for upcoming action flick GI Joe. Hear it here first!
