Casiokids Unveil Video For New Single 'Dresinen' - Watch Now

Today our Norwegian synth troupe Casiokids have unveiled a suitably dark-kitsch video for their new single, ‘Dresinen’.

Released this Monday June 25th on Moshi Moshi, ‘Dresinen’ is the third single to be taken from their album ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’ (released earlier this year) and accompanies an intimate show at London’s Barfly next Wednesday June 27th. Click Here to Compare & Buy Casiokids Tickets.

This lovingly animated clip was created by Bristol’s Rumpus Animations. Casiokids front man Ketil Kinden Endresen explained: “I’m really happy Rumpus Animation could do the Dresinen ('the draisine') music video for us. It’s a visual feast, a Mardi Gras of colours and fun, and manifests the pleasures of the lost and forgotten transportation gem, thedraisine.

“The draisine; a mode of transportation, a symbol of unity and co-oporation, and now, an animated thriller in a moomin-esque dream world, inspired by Casiokids' music.”

Casiokids’ debut UK album release, ‘Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen’, came to fruition within the band’s rehearsal space at the newly established Bergen Kjøtt (a converted old abattoir also home to Datarock and Røkyskopp). The tracks were also recorded at the band’s own pace, all within the same timeframe. As a result, the record is much more cohesive than their collection of previous singles and unlike anything Casiokids have released thus far.

It has earnt them critical praise worldwide and saw them be awarded with a Spellemann Award (the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy).
