Dizzee Rascal Unveils His Official Olympics Song 'Scream' Featuring Dirtee Stank Signing Pepper

Dizzee is back and this summer he’s getting involved Olympics style with the release of new single ‘Scream’ featuring hot new kid on the block, Dizzee’s protégé and newest Dirtee Stank signing Katie Pepper.

Image‘Scream’ is one of the official songs for the sports presentation programme of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Dizzee is joined by a stellar line-up of some of biggest acts in the UK including Muse, Chemical Brothers, Delphic and Elton John/Pnau to record the five official songs of the London 2012 Olympic Games sports presentation programme and to be part of the recently-announced Rock the Games music programme.

Dizzee started off 2012 with a bang when he released his critically acclaimed Dirtee Stank mixtape that sent cyberspace into overdrive as excited fans tried to download it as soon as it became available. Now having just scored a Top 10 hit on the DJ Fresh smash ‘The Power’ he is gearing up for the release of his fifth studio album due later this year that he has been working on both in the UK and stateside.

‘Scream’ features the outstanding vocals of Katie Pepper, the latest signing to the Dirtee Stank family. Pepper was discovered by Dizzee himself when he was a judge on Sky 1’s talent quest, Must Be The Music, the show that differed from other popular TV music talent shows in that each artiste performed their own original music, Pepper stood out to him and he signed her up. Having introduced her to music industry at the Ivor Novellos later that year, Pepper has been touring with Dizzee on the European festival since performing ‘Scream’ to thousands of people. Big things now await Pepper as she performs her way through a hectic summer schedule alongside Dizzee, Plan B, Rizzle Kicks, Olly Murs and a host of others at festivals and concerts across the UK.

‘Scream’ will be released on 5th August and is available to pre-order now. For more information go to www.dizzeerascal.co.uk and www.pepperofficial.com.
