Australian superstar Kylie Minogue has opened up about her latest music video and single ‘Timebomb’, as well as her recent ‘Anti-Tour’.
The singer’s most recent live dates saw her performing only rarities, B-sides, and unreleased tracks, and provided fans with a side of Kylie they may have never seen before (and may never see again!). Explaining the run of dates, the star revealed that she chose to perform the usually-unheard tracks because she feared she’d be unable to top her ‘Aphrodite’ tour - so she decided to do something completely different instead.
“I did a really huge tour last year for the Aphrodite album,” Kylie said in an interview for VEVO. “I think I had 25 trucks, which is a lot! It was extravagant, it was over the top, it was massive, so people kept saying to me ‘Oh my god, how will you top this?’ I realised that was a very good question and actually I don’t think I can top it.
“My response was to go completely the other direction and do a thing called an ‘Anti Tour’ - basically no production, no dancers, no choreography, no hits. More or less it was about b-sides, demos and rarities - so just super super super fan’s favourites.”
She went on to talk about her ‘Timebomb’ video, which you can see below.
“The shoot for ‘Time Bomb’ was amazing. When we were shooting down the busiest street in Soho I must have looked like a complete of an idiot strutting down the street singing to absolutely nothing! I wore a very cheeky little outfit. People don’t believe it but I do get very shy and timid. I was like, ‘oh god please, can’t there be more to this?’”
