Manchester-based outfit The 1975 have announced a December UK tour this morning.
The fresh band, who recently released their new EP ‘Facedown’, will perform in Leeds’ Cockpit 3 on December 2nd, before heading to Glasgow, Hull, Manchester, London, and Southampton. They’ll finally round off the tour in Birmingham’s HMV Institute Temple Rooms. Tickets for the tour went onsale at 9am this morning, and will cost £7.00 + fees (London £8.00 + fees) - you can find yours through Stereoboard.
Hailing from Manchester, The 1975 are the latest addition to the new generation of guitar groups emerging from the city. The four school friends have played together for the last 10 years and are aged between 20 and 21 - proving their combination of youth and experience.
Posting a number of video previews online, The 1975 recently revealed the video for 'The City', one of the standout tracks from the new EP, which has already picked up airplay from Radio 1 DJs Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton and Huw Stephens amongst others. 2nd December - Leeds, Cockpit 3
3rd December - Glasgow,King Tuts
4th December - Hull, Fruit
5th December - Manchester, Sound Control
6th December - London, Barfly
7th December - Southampton, Joiners
8th December - Birmingham, HMV Institute Temple Rooms
