R&B superstar Trey Songz has today announced that he will be playing shows in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Glasgow at the beginning of 2013 with two dates on-sale for London’s Hammersmith Apollo due to anticipated demand. Trey Songz Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 28th September.
'Chapter V' is Trey Songz fifth studio album and was released on August 20th via Atlantic Records. It features his new single ‘Simply Amazing’, which perfectly showcases vocal range as he expresses eternal love for his woman despite, and maybe because of, her imperfections.
Produced by longtime friend and production partner - Troy Taylor (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder), the track enjoyed massive radio support including an A–listing at Radio 1 and Choice FM, B–listing at 1Xtra and Capital and a Kiss FM playlist. The album also features the Petersburg, VA-bred singer’s first UK Top 30 hit, ‘Heart Attack,’ which he performed live at the Radio 1 Hackney Weekender in June.
'Chapter V' is the follow-up to 2010 RIAA Gold-Certified 'Passion, Pain & Pleasure', and the previous LP’s before that - 'Ready', 'Trey Day' and his debut 'I Gotta Make It'.
Guests on 'Chapter V' include T.I., Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Diddy and Meek Mill. In addition to this, his younger brother, Alex is responsible for the production on ‘Don’t Be Scared’ “I’m excited for him to have that first moment because I remember all of my firsts in the music industry. The first time seeing my name in the credits and now having our names beside each other,” Trey says of having his brother be a part of 'Chapter V'. “It’s something I’m very proud of.”
Now, after selling a combined 14 million albums and singles worldwide, travelling the world on countless international tours, receiving a string of Grammy nominations, meeting President Barack Obama, Trey Songz has a lot to write about.
