Irish indie outfit Villagers have announced a 2013 UK tour this morning, which will be one of their biggest headline UK tours to date.
The band, who topped the Irish and UK indie charts back in 2010 with their record ‘Becoming a Jackal’, will perform in venues in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Hove, and Portsmouth in February next year, with tickets going on sale this Friday (October 26th) at 9am.
The band will hopefully have released their second record around the time of the tour, meaning they’ll have a range of new material to perform to their ever-growing fanbase. Speaking to Hot Press about the record, frontman Conor J. O’Brien said of the record:
“We haven’t mastered it yet, but it’s all finished. We’re gonna go to London to master it at the end of the month, and I’ve a feeling I’m going to be dragging over synthesizers and setting stuff up in the mastering suite – which is ridiculous! I can’t really stop until someone tells me to.”
