American punk-rock outfit Green Day have unveiled the brand new video to their track ‘The Forgotten’, which also features on the brand new Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 soundtrack.
The soundtrack also features new and exclusive material from an irresistible line-up of artists, including Feist, Passion Pit and St. Vincent. Among the soundtrack’s innumerable highlights are ‘Bittersweet’, performed by Ellie Goulding and produced by Sonny Moore (aka Skrillex), as well as ‘A Thousand Years (Part 2)’ feat. Steve Kazee, which sees Atlantic recording artist Christina Perri returning to her smash single ‘A Thousand Years’, which first featured on 2011’s Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack.
"When we were asked to be part of the Breaking Dawn Part 2 soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon,” says Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt. “We have always been impressed with the way the Twilight soundtracks are so carefully curated."
The video follows the band’s recent decision to pull out of a number of 2012 and 2013 shows, following frontman Billie Joe Armstrong recently entering rehab. Green Day’s 2013 UK gig in Emirates Stadium will still go ahead as planned - check the dates and links below to find tickets through Stereoboard.
