Fazer, Stooshe, Angel And Tyler James Unveil Children In Need 'Wish I Belonged' Video - Watch Now

The cream of the UK's urban and pop talent join forces for 'Wish I Belonged', a heartfelt, empathetic song. Backed by the 80-piece BBC Symphony Orchestra, 'Wish I Belonged' features urban star Fazer, UK RnB up-and-comer Angel, soulful The Voice finalist Tyler James and grown-up girlband Stooshe.

Fazer first collaborated with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Jules Buckley earlier in the year when he took part in two extraordinary concerts combining iconic classical music with contemporary UK acts – described by Trevor Nelson as “a revolutionary night of music.”

The enthusiastic reaction of the artists and audience alike has led Fazer, conductor/arranger Jules Buckley and the BBC Symphony Orchestra getting together again to create something original specially for BBC Children in Need. Starting off on a tender piano, with Angel and Tyler James swapping lines, ‘Wish I Belonged’ becomes a glorious, widescreen ballad with Fazer bringing authentic rhymes and Stooshe harmonising beautifully throughout the chorus and middle eight over a full orchestral backing. Each member of this unique collaboration brings their own style to the song, while their vocal performances are informed by their own struggles and disparate backgrounds.

Lyrically, ‘Wish I Belonged’ is a reminder not to abandon the disenfranchised and less fortunate. It’s an inspirational tale that is important to remember all year round but takes on a special significance at this time of year.

All net profits from the sale of the single will go to BBC Children in Need. All the artists involved in 'Wish I Belonged' gave their time for free in support of BBC Children In Need.
