Wild Cub Unveil Studio Cover Of Jessie Ware's 'Running' - Check It Out Below

Nashville duo Wild Cub have released a brilliant new video of them covering Jessie Ware’s ‘Running’ in the studio - you can check it out below.

The band will be releasing a special version of their debut LP ‘Youth’ via Big Light Recordings in the UK on January 14th. To build anticipation for the release (which will feature a brand new bonus track), the Nashville duo have performed a gorgeous cover of the Jessie Ware hit ‘Running’.

A track that has been bent, twisted and remixed countless times, Wild Cub take the song and transform it into a atmospheric, piano based jam carried by the ever impressive vocal of Keegan Dewitt. The end result is a reworking of the track which pays direct homage to the original while featuring the attributes that have made Wild Cub one of the most exciting new bands in circulation currently. Already confirmed for SXSW 2013, next year looks set to be a big one for Wild Cub.

Wild Cub have enjoyed a brilliant 2012. Heralded by heavyweights as influential as SPIN and Clash, Wild Cub is a new vehicle by former film composer Keegan DeWitt (Cold Weather). Their sound is characterised by the urgent, multi-emotive vocal of DeWitt and the prodigious musical nous of Bullock.

Not a band to be pigeon-holed, Wild Cub produce an eclectic range of sounds designed to cover the spectrum of emotion. Managing to invoke taut dreaminess, rich melancholia, a sense of catharsis and enough electro-pop quirk to have you on the dance floor, Dewitt & Bullock create music that grabs you as profoundly cinematic and extremely versatile.
