Minny Pops Announce New AA-Side Single 'Waiting For This To Happen'/'Glistering'

Dutch electro and new wave outfit Minny Pops have announced that brand new double A-side single ‘Waiting For This To Happen’/‘Glistering’ will hit shelves next Monday (November 26th), as well as unveiling a gig in London the same evening.

Sponsored by The Quietus, the gig - which takes place in the Lexington - will also include DJ sets from long-time Minny Pops fan and producer of the new single Tim Burgess (The Charlatans) and Nik Colk Void (Factory Floor), plus support from Pavlov’s Children and actor Craig Parkinson (Misfits).

Parkinson will be reading ‘A Little Bit of Powder’, a short story written by crime writer Ian Rankin
with musical accompaniment by Burgess, which will also be released as a single on the same day. Both releases are on the O Genesis label, which is run by Burgess.

Signed to Factory Records at the dawn of the 1980’s for their second LP release, but splitting mid-decade, Minny Pops reformed early in 2012 to play their first concerts in 30 years. The new single constitutes their first new recordings since 1984 and will feature on 7” vinyl.

Monday November 26th - The Lexington, London - Minny Pops live w/ Tim Burgess, Nik Colk Void, Pavlov’s Children, and Craig Parkinson
