The Bazaars Unveil Video For New Single 'Girls In Time' - Watch Now

The Bazaars are set to release their new single 'Girls In Time' on 18th March. The single is taken from their as yet untitled debut album, which will be released through Tri-Tone/PIAS in early 2013.

The Bazaars - childhood friends Jonny Woolnough, Tom McGeorge, Jonny Pugh and Paul Brown released their debut single 'I Want You Dead' soon after performing their first gig in their native Leeds. The single instantly received widespread radio play including Radio1/MTV2 etc with the band spending much of its first incarnation together touring the UK extensively, supporting the likes of other notable Leeds based bands including Embrace, Kaiser Chiefs and The Blueskins.

The Bazaars began recording their debut album in the Summer of 2010, spending 2 years on and off perfecting their work, recording and re-recording the album in RAK Studios with Richard Woodcraft at the helm (Radiohead, Last Shadow Puppets, Neil Young among many others).

In November 2010, and in the middle of the RAK album sessions, the band released their first single from the sessions, a LTD edition physical release entitled ‘L’Attention’. The single which featured individual bespoke abstract artwork covers painted by JW’s father B.B.Davis, reached Number 1 on the UK Coalition Chart on its week of release.

Davis (The Bazaars original drummer) had by now moved on to become their full time impressionist painter, contributing stunning artwork and visual ideas put to the band’s music. The bands goal in turn, was to capture their melodic raw energy, and musically represent the oil on canvas artwork. The exchange being central to their identity.

With influences spanning a range from their obsession with Bitches Brew era Miles Davis, through to Henri Mancini, the sublimity of The Beatles, by way of Jeff Beck, Hendrix, CAN and 70's Germanica. The Bazaars mixture of pure pop with its deep, brooding soul brings their influences up to date.
