BBC Radio 2 revealed the list of their listener’s Top 100 Favourite Albums yesterday - and some of the results may as well have been April Fool’s jokes!
While these kind of lists are always a matter of opinion, you may find your inner musical snob getting particularly angry after finding out that Coldplay’s ‘A Rush of Blood to the Head’ hit the top spot, and that Keane’s ‘Hopes & Fears’ got #2. Duran Duran’s ‘Rio’ was placed at #3, perhaps to save the The BBC compiling the most appauling Top 3 Albums of all time.
Luckily, a lot of brilliant and deserving albums made the list, including Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ (#4), The Rolling Stones’ ‘Sticky Fingers’ (#6), and The Beatles’ ‘Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band’ (#8), but there are still a lot of questionable picks in the list (Kylie Minogue’s ‘Fever’ charts well above Bob Marley & The Wailers’ ‘Exodus’!).
Check it out and let us know who you’d see on the list - and who you would take out - in the comment box below!
