Kanye West Works With Daft Punk On New Album

Monday, 15 April 2013 Written by Elliott Batte

American superstar Kanye West worked with French house duo Daft Punk on music for his new album, it has been revealed.

The producers have just finished work on their own new album ‘Random Access Memories’, but rather than put all their eggs in one basket, they’ve also teamed up with Kanye West for some new material - which will feature on the rapper’s up and coming sixth studio album.

Daft Punk told Rolling Stone:

“It was very raw. He was rapping - kind of screaming primally, actually. Kanye doesn't give a fuck. He's a good friend.”

They went on to say that they’d been given sneak previews of what West’s album has in store - and said:

“One of them, I told him it sounded solid and powerful - I envisioned a cube when I heard it. He told me, Chris Cunningham's already directing the video!”

It’s unknown when West’s album may finally come together, but Daft Punk fans will be happy to know that their fresh LP hits shelves on May 20th. Will you be grabbing a copy? Let us know in the comment box below.
