Black Spiders Announce Second Album 'This Savage Land'

Wednesday, 01 May 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Black Spiders have announced their return with news of a brand new album 'This Savage Land', set for release on Monday September 2nd.

Opting for the; "open hard, keep up the pace, leave em’ breathless, then slip em’ your take on a really epic rock ballad when nobodies expecting it" modus operandi has paid off in spades. Album kickeroffer; 'Knock You Out' sets the tone for the next 45 minutes’ish of pure adrenalin. OOF, that’ll be the sock-it-to-em’ anthem 'Trouble'. POW one below the belt with the menacing growl of 'Balls' (you gotta have em, apparently!).

The album will be available as a pre-order through PledgeMusic from 1st May 2013 where all manner of special editions and exciting activities are up for grabs! Would you like to be immortalised by Ozzy in your own Skull Head design…? How about joining the Spiders on a brewery tour…? Paintballing where you will be able to hunt down the band and pop a paint-cap in their asses…or…How about taking a trip on a private jet for a ‘Hangover’ style weekend together.

Everyone who pre-orders via PledgeMusic can download FOR FREE the album track 'Teenage Knife Gang' (the unmastered version) via the Exclusive Updates section. There are also two exclusive pre-order bonus tracks that come with every bundle.  These are the tracks 'Cockfight' and Kill Your Friends' and they won't be available anywhere else! Pete Spider Spiby explains:

“We feel like we’ve laid down our defining album, one that will take your head off from the opening blast!!! Working with Pledge also gives our ever loyal patrons an opportunity to be a big part in the future of our band. The great reward will be some intriguing exclusives, hilarious experiences and exclusive content via Pledge as we kick off the album campaign”.

Entering the studio at various stages throughout late 2012, with Mr Matt ‘Deputy Head’ Ellis - producer par excellence and man of infinite patience – once again tasked with getting that ‘Black Spiders sound’ on tape.

The band also teamed up with old friends Jägermeister recently to give people their first taste of the new album with ‘Creatures’, a track that became a live favourite towards the end of last year.
