Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry Joins Health On New Version Of Ashamed

Health have enlisted Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches for a reworking of Ashamed.
The gothy electro revamp finds Health singer Jake Duzsik splitting lead vocals with the Scottish singer, who also offers some haunting harmonies over stabbing synths. The original song appears on the Los Angeles-based rock experimentalist's 2023 album, 'Rat Wars'.
The new version arrives ahead of the trio's sub-headlining slot tonight (June 14) on the Dogtooth Stage at Download festival. Following that, they'll play shows across Europe, with Australian dates lined up for July and August, before appearances at Riot Fest in Chicago and Louder Than Life in Louisville. Mayberry released Are You Awake?, her first single as a solo artist, last September. She has since put out two other more solo songs, Shame and Change Shapes.
