Kim Cesarion Unveils 'Undressed' Music Video

Tuesday, 11 June 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Swedish newcomer, Kim Cesarion, breaks onto the scene with his debut single Undressed, released on 28 July through RCA Records.

Undressed, produced and co-written by Kim, Arnthor Birgisson, Gary Clark and Lukasz Duchnowski, is an mash-up of contemporary R&B and quirky pop. The winning combination has already started to race up the digital charts across Europe. In Scandinavia the single is has already been certified Gold.

Born in Sweden to a Guadeloupean singer [father] and a Swedish-Greek dancer [mother], music was the only way for Kim Cesarion. His early mastering of the violin got him in to a classic music school, which lead to him learning piano, contrabass, alto viola and drums. This immersion in classical music, combined with his family musical traditions meant his childhood was filled to the brim with music such as soca/calypso, zouk (a Guadeloupean festival music), reggae/dancehall, blues, funk and modern R&B.  Equally influenced by his own musical heroes such as Prince, D’Angelo and Stevie Wonder, Kim has evolved to embody a fusion of R&B and pop.

At the age of 20, Kim came into contact with songwriter Arnthor Birgisson from the production team, Aristotracks, and they spent two years in to the studio to hone the exact musical style that works for Kim.   When they met Scottish songwriter, Gary Clark – the track, Undressed emerged quite quickly. The team have since been working on Kim’s debut album which is due for release this autumn.

Already an accomplished live performer, Kim has become the first Swedish artist to be signed to both UK and US labels before he has even released a single. RCA UK and Columbia US  are set to push Kim as one of the biggest new global launches this year!
