Clean Bandit Unveil 'Dust Clears' Video

Thursday, 20 June 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

With its first radio play on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show last night, electronic collective Clean Bandit have announced details of their new EP featuring lead track Dust Clears, which will release on July 29 via Atlantic Records.

Speaking about the new track, Jack Patterson (lead vocalist/producer) says – “I think this is my favourite track that I've written so far. I wrote it together with Jimmy Napes, who co-wrote ‘Latch’ with Disclosure. We filmed the video ourselves completely and had amazing time on a frozen lake in Sweden."

The video for Dust Clears - directed, produced and created by the band, as are all their videos - references a painting by Walter Raeburn called The Skating Minister. The painting is currently being exhibited in Edinburgh’s National Gallery. The new track from Clean Bandit sees producer Jack Patterson come to the forefront as the lead vocalist for the first time. The EP will feature remixes from Alt-J, Russ Chimes and Jack Savidge.

Clean Bandit will be in full swing on the festival circuit this summer having been confirmed for practically every major UK festival. Festival performances will include Wireless, Glastonbury, Reading and many more (full list over at cleanbandit.com).

Clean Bandit are currently in the studio recording their debut album.
