Britain's Got Talent Star Gabz Unveils Video For Debut Single 'Lighters (The One)'

Friday, 28 June 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

She wowed the nation with her singing, her piano-playing and, of course, her trademark onesies, now Gabz Gardiner is to release Lighters (The One), her self-penned anthem that thrilled more than 11 million TV viewers during Britain’s Got Talent 2013.

Schoolgirl Gabz, aged just 14, recorded the song in a London studio last week. It was produced by Graham Stack (Kylie Minogue, JLS, Girls Aloud).

After her first audition on Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell said of the teenager: "I think we’re looking at a future pop star." And following her semi-final appearance, Simon said of Lighters (The One): "I think the song’s a hit."

The youngster eventually finished an outstanding seventh in the competition. Gabz said: “I'm really excited about my single being released, I'm so happy, it's a dream come true!”
