It has been a very busy week for Janelle Monae, who released the video for Dance Apocalyptic, a brand new track from her forthcoming album 'The Electric Lady'.
Dressed down in all white, Janelle lets her hair down and performs the track in a '60s-inspired television studio, while locusts, earthquakes, fires and zombies destroy the outside world. The video is an excerpt from the short film The Dance Apocalyptic, set in an alternate version of current-day America.
Dance Apocalyptic follows her previous track Q.U.E.E.N, which featured Erykah Badu. Both tracks feature on the forthcoming album 'The Electric Lady' out in the UK on September 9 via Atlantic Records.
