Liam Fray Upgrades Liverpool Show And Adds Two Matinee Performances To September Tour

Thursday, 18 July 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Following the announcement of his September acoustic tour, Liam Fray has announced two further shows, with Manchester and Glasgow matinees, and venue upgrade in Liverpool to the O2 Academy. Manchester’s Bipolar Sunshine have been confirmed as support for all dates.

Commencing in Liverpool on September 19, the eight night tour finishes in Fray’s hometown of Manchester, with two shows at The Ritz on September 29.

The Courteeners recently played two sold out hometown shows at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl, which saw them play live to 16,000 people over the two nights. Support came from Miles Kane, the Strypes and James Skelly & The Intenders among others, and Fray followed the second night with a sold out acoustic performance at Manchester Academy 2.  The band also just performed a second headline slot on the Radio1 stage at T in the Park to a huge crowd of fans, which can be watched here.
