Brighton-based duo Rizzle Kicks have criticised the hip-hop scene - as they believe there is too much ego involved with it.
The pair produce their own unique kind of hip-hop, and are fans of the more underground artists in the genre, but this week they've claimed that they're not 'inspired' by the bigger rappers in the game - stating that there's a lack of intelligence.
They told The Daily Star:
"There's a big thing in America, a big hip-hop vibe that I feel is quite ego orientated, and I don't find that inspiring. There are hip-hop artists who are able to say things that are phenomenal. Eminem is one of the best poets ever, and there are other greats, but maybe there's a lack of intelligence."
Meanwhile, the boys have set a September 2 release date of their highly-anticipated second album 'Roaring ‘20s' - check out their latest video 'Lost Generation' below.
