US superstar Cher has revealed that she’s feeling ready to get back on the tour bus, having been on a 10-year break from music.
The pop icon, actress, director, model and dancer last released an album with 2001’s ‘Living Proof’ and, as we’ve been reporting, she’s making her return this year with the brand new collection ‘Closer to the Truth’.
As we all know, working in the studio is only half of a musician’s job and that’s definitely something Cher’s aware of (her last live venture, her ‘Farewell Tour’ in the early noughties, saw her performing over 320 concerts) - meaning the chances of a new tour are pretty high.
Fans will be foaming at the mouth in excitement, as Cher has all but confirmed that she’ll be returning to the stage in the very near future. She told BBC:
“When you have something new to say or new to sing, then it makes the idea of going on tour more reasonable. I did a tour for three-and-a-half years and it almost killed me. There's a finite amount of energy that I have. It's pretty boundless, but it's still not endless.
"I know if I don't do it now, I'll never do it. I'm not going to do that many dates to begin with to see if I am still up for this.”
Even though she has admitted that there is a possibility that she may find it too difficult to live up to the standards she set many moons ago, Cher has no plans of slowing down anytime soon and will be around for a while longer.
“I have dreams to fulfil that I haven't even dreamt yet - there's no end to ideas, there's no end to things you want to do. I like creating and I can't see stopping creating.”
