Save Your Breath Release Music Video For New Single Whole

Thursday, 26 September 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Newport quintet Save Your Breath have revealed the music video for their new single Whole.

Considering how brash and outgoing musicians tend to be, getting them to talk about themselves is surprisingly tricky. Oftentimes you’ll find they’ve been so caught up in the drudgery of getting their music noticed, that they’ve lost sight of what got them to where they are in the first place. “These days, everybody is in a band,” sighs Save Your Breath guitarist, Tom. “Every aspect of it is so readily available. There’s definitely a fear of getting lost. We want to be a band that people can continue to care about and relate to.”

New single, Whole, does exactly that, as bassist, Ben, explains. “It’s about my own particular way of dealing with things and the realisation that without being able to let go of the past, my issues will forever be my undoing. The song is an admission to my own weaknesses and my inability to take my own advice. Knowing what you need to do and seeing it through are two very separate things in my experience.”

Whole is taken from the album, ‘There Used To Be A Place For Us’, released on Animal Style Records on October 7. The band tour the UK next month, alongside The Story So Far.
