Rap superstar Eminem has stated that his new album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2’ is not a sequel to the original, but rather a ‘revisitation’.
Slim Shady is set to release the new collection on November 5, and fans have been waiting patiently since it was revealed that it would be called ‘TMMLP2’, following on from the diamond-selling original.
He’s now claimed that he hasn’t created a sequel to the album, but simply revisited the record. He told Rolling stone:
“[It's] not necessarily a sequel]. As much as it is a revisitation. So there's not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it's more about the vibe and it's more about the nostalgia.
“I wouldn't want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs, and just when you think you got it, you listen and you're like 'fuck, man! I feel like it needs this or that', to paint the whole picture.”
You’ve got just a couple of weeks until the new collection drops, and to keep his fan’s thirsts quenched til it hits shelves, he released third single Rap God last week. You can check it out below!
