ArcTanGent Announces More Bands Including First International Acts

Wednesday, 19 February 2014 Written by Ben Bland

Jamie Lenman, Tera Melos, Lite, Enemies, Her Name is Calla, 100 Onces, Tangled Hair, Codes in the Clouds, Bear Makes Ninja, Alpha Male Tea Party and Iran Iran have all been added to the line-up of this year’s ArcTanGent Festival.

Math rockers Tera Melos (USA) and Lite (Japan) are the first bands in the festival’s history to arrive in Bristol from overseas. Both have recently completed acclaimed tours of the UK and their appearances at ArcTanGent are set to be highlights. So is that of Lenman, the former Reuben frontman, who will be bringing tracks from his debut solo record ‘Muscle Memory’ to Fernhill Farm (as well as a couple of classics no doubt).

Among the other bands added, highlights include epic post-rock infused group Her Name is Calla, who will be playing songs from their forthcoming album ‘Navigator’, and Tangled Hair, the math pop band featuring former members of the much loved Colour.

James Scarlett from ArcTanGent said:

“There has been a big demand from our fans to book international bands so we have picked a handful that perfectly fit our line up. It’s exciting to be hosting international artists as well as having festival goers travel from all over the world to come to ArcTanGent. It’s something we hadn’t predicted and it has certainly given a different dynamic to the festival.”

Simon Morley from Blood and Biscuits said:

“We're super excited to have a bunch of our bands playing at ArcTanGent this year. I went along to the first one last year and it was my festival of the summer, such good vibes! The UK has needed a festival like this for a long time and I'm glad someone is finally doing it. It's a festival booked and run by genuine music lovers, not afraid to take risks and stick their neck out for acts they believe in and the best thing is, it's working for them!"

This is the second round of announcements for this year’s ArcTanGent with many more bands still to come, including the headliners.

Tickets are on sale now. There are only a few hundred tickets remaining for the Early Entry Thursday night which features a select line up of the best bands from last year. ArcTanGent are fully expecting these tickets to have sold out by the time the headliners are announced, so if you want to come to ArcTanGent a day early get your early entry ticket without delay.

ArcTanGent takes place at Fernhill Farm, near Bristol, from August 28 to 30 2014. For more information please visit arctangent.co.uk or facebook.com/atgfetival. Click here to read what we thought of ArcTanGent in 2013.
