Ellis, the solo project of Hamilton, Ontario songwriter and Ethel Cain guitarist Linnea Siggelkow, has released a new single.
Titled all that i've got, the heartfelt, guitar-driven indie-rock track is described by Ellis as "an anthem for the misfits of the world" and follows last year's standalone single little kid and her 2024 second album, 'no place that feels like'. Introducing it, she said:
"This song is about feeling like a loser no matter how hard I try. I'm not sure how much I believe in the concept of destiny but sometimes it feels like there's nothing I can do to change mine, for better or for worse."
Ellis also played guitar on Ethel Cain's 2022 debut album, 'Preacher's Daughter', and has since joined Cain's touring band, spending the past 18 months performing around the world.
