Hamilton Leithauser - frontman of indie-rock icons the Walkmen - has announced the first details of his solo album, ‘Black Hours’.
With a post on the landing page of his website, he revealed that he’ll be putting the record out on May 6 (May 5 in the UK), following news of the Walkmen's "extreme hiatus".
At a recent show in New Orleans, which did in fact come after the band's bassist, Peter Bauer, confirmed that they were to step away, Leithauser confirmed: “This is the end. This is the last thing that we’ll ever do.”
Rolling Stone has also confirmed that Leithauser will release Alexandra, which was co-written with Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, as a Record Store Day 7" on April 19.
