Black Grape have been announced for this year's Festival No.6.
The band, formed by Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays) and Kermit Leveridge (Ruthless Rap Assassins), will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, 'It’s Great When You’re Straight...Yeah', at the festival. Discussing their appearance, Leveridge said:
"Festival No.6 is unique. It's a festival that has something for everybody, whether you wanna party hard or you’re a culture vulture. They always have great acts and it’s a beautiful backdrop. This will be the third year I’ve been to No.6 and I'm really looking forward to tearing it up with Black Grape. I’m also going to be curating the Super Weird Happening on the Estuary Stage with Greg Wilson. It’s gonna be majestic!”
Also heading to Portmeirion in September are James Bay, Gaz Coombes, Everything, Everything, Metronomy, Ronson, British Sea Power, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Badly Drawn Boy, Jane Weaver, Grace Jones, Belle & Sebastian, Kate Tempest, Rae Morris, Years & Years, Haelos, Shura, The Bohicas, Stornoway and Fryars.
