Sweet Baboo Shares Video For New Single Got To Hang On To You

Sweet Baboo has shared the video for his new single, Got To Hang On To You.
The song features on his fifth album, 'The Boombox Ballads', which is due August 14 through Moshi Moshi, while the single will be released the same day. Discussing the track, Stephen Black said:
“That was my attempt to write a song like The Boys Are Back In Town by Thin Lizzy. It’s a shame really, because we first played it live in 2013 and then the film Northern Soul came out so everyone will think I’m copying that, but I’m not. The truth is, I’m not even a massive Northern Soul fan. My special subject on Mastermind is the complete works of Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci. But one night, my wife and I listened to Blowing Up My Mind by The Exciters, and I decided to write a song about it. Any references in the song, like [legendary Northern Soul mecca] Wigan Casino, are a product of Wikipedia and Google”.

Sweet Baboo will hit the road for a marathon UK tour this autumn. Black will head out for shows between September 16 and October 3, including stops in Leeds, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton and Cardiff. Tickets for the tour are on sale now, priced at £10.00 (£12.00 in London), plus fees.
Sweet Baboo also appears at this year's Green Man festival in August.
