Hannah Boleyn Shares New Single Permission To Leave

Thursday, 10 September 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Hannah Boleyn has shared her new single, Permission To Leave.

The track, which you can check out below, is the third to be lifted from Boleyn's debut album, 'The Boleyn Affair’, which is set for release October 2. Discussing it, she said:

"Permission To Leave is about realising it’s ok to fight.  I got drunk and had a massive argument with my boyfriend. In the morning I assumed it was over, but he said the fight wasn’t to be mistaken for “permission to leave”.  I wrote the song with Paul Barry, James Jeffrey & Patrick Mascall at Metrophonic.  I told them about the line ‘don’t mistake it for permission to leave’ that was circulating in my head – they loved it and that was our starting point for the song."

Hannah Boleyn will support Lemar at Sage 2 in Gateshead on September 14 and Manchester's Lowry on September 15. Following this she will play with Play It Forward at the Queen Of Hoxton in Shoreditch on September 24. The singer has also lined up shows in October and November across the UK.
