Sweet Baboo Lines Up UK Tour Ahead Of February Release Of New EP 'Dennis'

Tuesday, 01 December 2015 Written by Laura Johnson

Sweet Baboo will hit the road for a headline UK tour ahead of the release of his new EP, 'Dennis', in February.

The six-track record, which features a Christmas song, three covers and two previously unreleased tracks from Stephen Black's 'The Boombox Ballads' album sessions, is set for release on February 26 through Moshi Moshi.

Discussing Don’t Be Alone (This Christmas), which you can listen to below, Black said:

“It was written and recorded, like all good Christmas songs, in the height of summer. It was around the time of the Labour leadership debate and I had imagined Jeremy Corbyn as Father Christmas so it has a vaguely political message.”

The Welsh singer-songwriter will call in Leicester, Margate, London, Manchseter, Sheffield, York and Bath between February 2 and 13. Tickets go on sale at 10.00am tomorrow, December 2.

Prior to his headline tour Stephen Black will be starring in the new Gruff Rhys play, The Insatiable, Inflatable Candylion, this Christmas in Cardiff. He has also been busy creating his new tape label Amazing Tapes From Canton.
