Celine Dion has released a new song, Dansons.
Written by her longtime collaborator Jean-Jacques Goldman, the reflective French-language ballad (meaning "let's dance") blends gentle piano with sweeping orchestral strings. It arrives with a Maxime Allouche-filmed video showing a ballerina and dancing couples moving through the streets of Paris.
The five-time Grammy-winning Canadian artist's last proper studio release came in the form of 2019's 'Courage' LP. In the years since, she has stepped back from recording and touring while battling a rare condition called Stiff‑Person Syndrome, which affected her singing voice and ability to walk.
Most recently, she released two soundtrack albums, 'Love Again' for the 2023 romantic-comedy film, and 'I Am: Celine Dion', for the 2024 documentary about her life and career.
The vocalist returned earlier this spring to announce her live comeback, with a five-week residency at La Défense Arena in Paris running from September 12 to October 17. Tickets are on sale now.
