Lloyd Cole To Play UK And Ireland Shows In August And October

Lloyd Cole will play shows across the UK and Ireland in August, with three UK dates also scheduled for October.

The singer-songwriter, of '80s band Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, will head to Glasgow, Holmfirth, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, Dublin, Cork, Belfast, Galway and Limerick between August 7 and 31. Following this he will call in London, Newcastle and Birmingham on October 3, 7 and 12. Tickets go on sale at 9.00am on April 1. 

Cole released ‘Lloyd Cole and the Commotions Collected Recordings 1983-1989’ last year. A second box set, spanning 1989 to 1996, his first four solo albums, the lost fifth album, plus rarities and videos, is expected in September. Discussing his recent releases and upcoming tour, Cole said:

‘’These boxes are a lot of work, much of which can only be done by me. I must revisit and rediscover material. I am necessarily in retrospective mode. I have decided to embrace it.In 2016 all of my set lists will be comprise material from 1983 – 1996 only. Most of my concerts will be acoustic affairs but there will be some band performances. Once the world has seen the Retrospective Show I will resume my work as a contemporary artist.’’
