Ben Chatwin Lines Up July Release For New Album 'Heat & Entropy'

Wednesday, 25 May 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Ben Chatwin will release his new album this summer.

'Heat & Entropy' is set to arrive on July 29 via Badbabing Records and follow up last year's 'The Sleeper Awakes'. Discussing fusing electronics with strings on the album, Chatwin, who has previously put out releases under the moniker Talvihorros, said:

“The album then became about the tensions between the acoustic, or natural world, and the electronic world. For me this is where the excitement lies… It creates a unique world of contrasts and conflicting relationships.”

We live in an age where technology is everywhere and it’s becoming so integrated into our lives that we now find ourselves on the cusp of life-changing developments in artificial intelligence and implantable technologies. That’s something I tried to reflect with this album.”

Meanwhile, check out the record's opening track, Inflexion, below.
