Ed Harcourt Lines Up August Release For New Album 'Furnaces'

Wednesday, 29 June 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Ed Harcourt will release his new album, 'Furnaces', in August.

The follow up to 2013's 'Back into The Woods' is due to arrive on August 19. Discussing his seventh album, which features contributions from Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa, bassist Tom Herbert of the Invisible & Polar Bear, vocalist Hannah Lou Clark, and percussionist Michael Blair, Harcourt said:

“I wanted to make a record that people can cry, fuck and fight to. I don’t think there are many records out like that at the moment, but all my favourite records have that, whether it’s Prince or Nine Inch Nails. I hadn’t made a record before that has this kind of danger to it.”
