Ed Harcourt Shares Title Track Of New Album 'Furnaces'

Tuesday, 12 July 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Ed Harcourt has shared the title track of his new album, 'Furnaces'.

The follow up to 2013's 'Back into The Woods' is due to arrive on August 19 and features contributions from Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa, bassist Tom Herbert of the Invisible & Polar Bear, vocalist Hannah Lou Clark, and percussionist Michael Blair.

Discussing the single, which you can check out below, Harcourt said:

"I wanted this song to sound like a loping, clanking fire-breathing giant made out of machinery eating up the earth and spewing vast projectiles of junk out, leaving chaos and emptiness in its wake… I hasten to add that hope is never far away - but it is a distant lantern swaying precariously in the darkness.’

The singer-songwriter will play an autumn show at the Village Underground in London. Tickets are on sale now.

Ed Harcourt Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Wed September 21 2016 - LONDON Village Underground
