Bring Me The Horizon have postponed the remaining dates on their current tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Due to frontman Oli Sykes having been diagnosed with acute laryngitis, and following the cancellation of their Adelaide show mid-week, the British metalcore giants have been forced to postpone their two Melbourne dates, which were due to go ahead tonight and tomorrow, plus a performance in Auckland, New Zealand, on September 25.
The band intend on returning to Australia and New Zealand in 2017 to make up for their cancelled dates. A statement released by promoters Live Nation says:
"Bring Me The Horizon are fully committed to return to Australia in early 2017 to complete these shows in Melbourne and Adelaide.
"Details will be released shortly with regard to when and how fans will be able to see the band perform.
"Ticket holders are encouraged to retain their tickets pending the announcement of new dates, or alternatively may obtain a full refund from the point of purchase."
Meanwhile, Architects, the tour's support act, are also planning to return to Australia for a headline tour next year. The band tweeted the following update earlier today.
