We Are Scientists Announce New Album 'Megaplex' And Accompanying UK Tour

We Are Scientists have announced details of their sixth album, 'Megaplex'.
The New York-based power-pop band will release the follow up to 2016's 'Helter Seltzer' on April 27 through 100% Records before hitting the road for 16 UK dates, including an appearance at Stockton Calling and a stop at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on May 4.
Check out the record's cover art, tracklist and the video for the lead single, One In One Out, below. Speaking about the album, which was recorded at Tim Wheeler from Ash's Atomic Heart Studios in New York, bassist Chris Cain said:
"In the past we’ve used our music to educate, to enlighten, to awaken people to the depth and complexity of moral concerns. This time, we really wanted to drop a fun-bomb. Something to dance or fuck to."
Speaking about the lead single's accompanying visual, directed by Jed Mitchell, vocalist Keith Murray added:
"When Jed explained the VR aspect to us we thought it was going to be our chance to step outside of our corporeal bondage, to enter a world where natural laws have no place, where our abilities would be unchecked by physics or even by morality, where we could live like gods and wantonly slake our every unholy thirst. Turns out, he just wanted us to perform our song, which was fun, too."
