As It Is Announce Intimate Acoustic London Show For Banquet Records

Thursday, 16 August 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

As It Is have announced details of a special one off acoustic performance for Banquet Records.

The Brighton quartet, who are on course for their highest UK Album Chart entry to date with 'The Great Depression', will take over Kingston's All Saints Church on December 4, following their forthcoming headline tour. Speaking of the show, guitarist Benjamin Langford-Biss said:

"Banquet shows are always very special. I’ve been personally going to their shows for close to 10 years now. Whether it’s acoustic in-stores or two sweaty intimate Fighting Cocks shows in a day, every single one we’ve done means a lot to us and marks each of our releases. This time around we’re doing something a little different, playing a full band acoustic set in All Saints Church. With 'The Great Depressio'n being a much more sonically expansive record than we’ve ever done we’re excited to re-imagine these songs in a quiet intimate context (and maybe you’ll even hear a taste of these versions beforehand...) This will be our final show of the whirlwind that’s been 2018 and we hope you come and celebrate the best year this bands ever experienced with us."

The band released their concept-heavy third album on August 10 through Fearless Records. The band will hit the road towards the end of November, with stops planned in Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London, where they'll play the O2 Forum Kentish Town.
