The Pearl Harts Share New Song And Video Different Kinda Girl Ahead Of UK Tour

Monday, 17 September 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

The Pearl Harts have released a new song and video to accompany their upcoming autumn tour.

Produced by Thomas Mitchener, Different Kinda Girl pays homage to Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and paraphrases suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, combining the duo's trademark garage-rock guitar riffs, pounding drums and snarling vocals. Discussing it, they said:

"Different Kinda Girl is a fun and outspoken song about stepping out and not being afraid to be different, having the confidence to stay true to yourself and beliefs even if you are being squashed down, even if you have to fight, asserting your personality and being proud to stand up for who you are."

The track has been released ahead of the band's UK headline tour, which kicks off later this week and includes stops in St. Albans, Southampton, Brighton, Manchester, London, Norwich, Leeds, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
