Need A Little Love is the third track to be lifted from their new album, 'Half Drunk Under A Full Moon', which is slated for release on April 9. It follows previous cuts Action Replay and Six Days In June.
Discussing the sentimental pop number, lead singer and songwriter Jon Fratelli said:
“’Need A Little Love’ feels like the purest pop song we’ve ever written. It’s the kind of song you don’t need to second guess or squint at and the whole story is pretty much contained in the opening few bars. It was written unashamedly from the twisted heart of a hopeful romantic.”
Need A Little Love's accompanying video was directed by David Eustace and filmed at Leith Theatre in Edinburgh before the first coronavirus lockdown.
The Fratellis are scheduled to support their new record with a spring UK tour that's currently still set to go ahead. Tickets are on sale now.
